Hello everyone and thank you so much for taking time to check us out. We are Dobbins Creek and we are a music duo with Len Ryan playing guitar and performing lead vocals along with Clif Niblock playing the violin and providing backup vocals.

 

Our music ranges from the classic “Coffee House” rock to traditional American and Celtic music. Our aim is to provide a relaxed laid-back style that feels as good as your most comfortable pair of blue jeans and we have been known to also perform medley’s where the take a classic song like "Wabash Cannon Ball”, tie it into another folk tune like "Red Wing" or "Irish Washer Woman" and then morph the whole thing into the Beatles "I'll Cry Instead".

 

Our roots are in the classics by various artists like Jim Croce, James Taylor, Eagles, and the Mersey Beat British Invasion groups like Peter and Gordon, Chad and Jeremy, Gerry and the Pacemakers and of course our favorite the Beatles.  Our tag line is, "Dobbins Creek Waybac Machine music review; for the songs you remember, and the ones you forgot you knew".

 

Our music is somewhat unique in that we use an acoustic electric guitar and a violin and a few electronic enhancements like a bass synthesizer effect and / or chorus effect but all very discretely done so that the music sound full and complete. There has been many times where between our sets people will come up and ask us how we got that sound! Everything you hear is live and in real time. We use no backing tracks.

 

As you look at our "set list" you will see many selections that have been lost over the years, yet when you hear them it will take you back in time. That is why we call ourselves the Waybac Machine Music Review. Sherman and Peabody are our mascots and if you understand this reference then you will definitely understand our take on the music..
